NEWTOWN HAWKS

The Newtown Hawks track and field team has been in existence since 2007, founded by former head Coach Eileen Fish. The Newtown Hawks team is an opportunity for beginning runners as well as seasoned athletes to train and improve. We offer individual instruction in all areas of track and field and cross-country. In the fall and winter the team is open to 4th through 8th graders. Our spring program is for 2nd through 8th graders. In the summer we offer a day camp for  6-14 year olds, which is an official Nike sports camp, one of only five in the country. All four programs are open to athletes from not only Newtown, but also all towns in the surrounding area. A member of the newly formed Western Connecticut Conference (WCC) Middle School League, the Hawks compete in meets throughout Fairfield County as well as Invitational and State Championship competitions. There will be buses available to and from all away meets. These will pick up athletes at the Middle and Intermediate schools and drop them off at the Middle School.
